Who we are

I'm Sass. I run Meshh Social - a boutique marketing agency for founder-led brands who don't do boring.

Based in Melbourne now, but I grew up on the remote north west coast of Tasmania.

I believe marketing is part strategy, part courage, and part “Let’s try this and see what happens.”

About Sass

In the 1990s, my husband and I sold everything and moved to Copenhagen with our two-year-old son. I'd never visited. Didn't speak Danish, didn’t know a soul and the internet still wasn’t yet a thing. Not going to lie, it was tough. But challenging myself has always been my default setting.

Within two years, I was managing a flagship store in the middle of Copenhagen - in Danish.

After five years, I was back in Melbourne managing with Country Road. A few years in, they couldn't find the right person in New Zealand to take on their Wellington store, then their Auckland flagship. So we kept saying yes to adventures.

Eventually I burnt out. We landed in Byron Bay, where I opened my own boutique, built an e-commerce store, and (barely) survived the GFC.

Out the other side of a tough few years came the realisation that what I truly loved about retail was connecting with people and solving their problems (I'm also competitive, so I loved achieving results). That's when I shifted into marketing and strategy.

These days I work with brands across Australia specialising in regional tourism, lifestyle & accommodation - brands run by passionate humans doing interesting things.

What that background means for you

I've been on your side of the table. I've managed big operations and one-person shows. I know what it's like when you're figuring it out as you go, when cash flow is tight, when you're working seven days straight.

I'm not here to give you content calendars you'll never use. I bring strategy that makes sense for where you are right now - steady, chaotic, or somewhere in between.

There's no "us and them." We're a team.
